Avon and Somerset Police is opening the doors to its Police Headquarters in Portishead to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The family event will include old and new police vehicles, tours of our communications centre, fingerprinting, police helicopter, displays, a 1970s police station, music, food stalls and much, much more.
Tickets are limited so dont miss out on this unique opportunity to visit the headquarters of your local constabulary.The perfect day out for Fathers Day.
How to get there?
We ask everyone attending to be respectful of our neighbours and use the car parks provided. A map to headquarters is available by clicking here.
on foot - access from the North Gate entrance on Weatherley Drive.
by bike - cyclists can access from the North Gate entrance on Weatherley Drive where you will be directed to a dedicated covered storage area.
by car - a car park will be located on the HQ site and an overflow car park will be set up nearby. The overflow car park will be within a 10 minute walk and a mini bus shuttle service will be operating throughout the day. Please follow the signs on the day to be directed to the available car park. If using a satellite navigation device please use BS20 8JJ
There will be disabled car parking available on site. Please book your space in advance using the ticketing system above and bring your relevant documents with you on the day.
Tickets
Tickets go on sale at 8.30am on Wednesday 28th May 2014. For health and safety reasons we are limited to the number of people we can have on site so there are only a limited number available.
You will be sent an email confirmation of your ticket order from eventbrite when you book online. Please print and retain this email. We will send out hard copy tickets to you in advance of the event. Please bring these tickets and your confirmation email with you on the day.
All tickets will be scanned upon entry and duplicate entries will not be permitted. If you are unable to attend the event please notify us so we can enable others to use them. Email us at openday@avonandsomerset.police.uk

Will there be food available?
Yes, hot food, snacks and drinks will be available to purchase on the day.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
No alcohol, dogs or smoking will be allowed on site.
